Leaders of Tomorrow Speech Contest – My Dream City

Active Community Engagement presents the very first ACE Cup: Leaders of Tomorrow Speech Contest. This year’s theme is “My Dream City”. This is a great opportunity for our younger generations to actively think of the expectations on the future of our city. These speeches will also give adults and city officials a greater understanding on our youth as well. We want our children to imagine if they were to become the mayor, how would they build the city in a way that would provide all residents a better life.

Contestants in 3 groups

Group A: Grade 7-8 Speech Length: Approx. 2 minutes

Group B: Grade 9-10 Speech Length: 3-4 minutes

Group C: Grade 11-12 Speech Length: 4-5 minutes

Grading Criteria:

Presentation 25%

Posture 10%

Articulation 15%

Rhythm 15%

Tone 15%

Content 20%

TOTAL 100%

*Over or under time-limit significantly will results in grade deduction

Prizes:

Group Champion: $200 Cash prize, ACE Cup trophy

Second & Third Place: Gift bags & ACE Certificate

All Contestants: Small gifts

「政經民社」主辦「第一屆精英盃」明日領袖演講比賽，主題是「我的理想城市」。本會希望年輕一代能透過這次的活動積極探討作爲社區的一份子，對於自身居住的城市的憧憬和期望，也從而讓成年人及政府人員更了解青少年對社會的看法。學生這次將能投入成爲市長的角色，講述如何建立心目中最理想的城市，為其他人帶來更美好的生活。

比賽分爲三組：

A組：7-8年級 演講長度：約2分鐘

B組：9-10年級 演講長度：3-4分鐘

C組：11-12年級 演講長度：4-5分鐘

評分標準：

演繹 25%

儀態 10%

咬字 15%

節奏 15%

聲調 15%

内容 20%

總分 100%

*演講時間過長或過短將被扣分

獎金及獎品：

分組冠軍 – $200元現金獎、ACE精英獎盃一座

亞軍及季軍 – 精美獎品、ACE獎座
