Vote For Emily Li and All You Need to Know About Her

Now more than ever,  Markham-Unionville needs a strong community advocate to fight for our seniors, our youth, and our small business owners who are still feeling the lasting impacts of the pandemic. I look forward to representing the constituents of Markham-Unionville and to fight for the best tomorrow for all.” – Emily Li

Profile of Emily Li

A mother of two young children and with parents living at home, Emily has a strong desire to serve the constituents of Markham—Unionville. As the daughter of a successful immigrant family, she has fulfilled the Canadian immigrant dream shared by many in Markham. She is long-time resident of the city and has lived and worked in Markham for 15 years.

In addition to her full-time job as an operations Manager, she currently serves on the discipline and appeal committee board for the Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA). In 2021, she established the Ontario Federation of Chinese Women. She has helped a great number of newcomers settle and adapt to life in Canada, focusing her efforts on Chinese women in need.

She looks forward to continuing to giving back to a community that has afforded her and her family so many opportunities since arriving in Canada. The success of her multigenerational family is what the growth of Markham is all about.  It’s about a great place to raise families, it’s about better schools for our children, it’s about improving care for our elders and it’s about fostering strong economic opportunities for everyone. She wants to fight for a better, more prosperous Markham—Unionville, both now and for future generations.
